About

I am an associate professor of linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, with an interest in applying game theory—and other techniques from microeconomics—to the study of language, particularly linguistic meaning.  I also have an interest in the neuro-anatomy of linguistic decision making.

My book Meaningful Games: Exploring Language with Game Theory is in press from the MIT Press; more details as they develop.

While this blog will focus mainly on language and game theory, I will probably wonder around a bit into other domains.
